Admissions Process

Thanks for your interest in Bulkley Valley Christian School! We exist to help you educate and raise your kids in a way that inspires them to seek and serve Christ in all areas of life. Admissions to our school is fairly straightforward, and follows the process outlined below.

Step 1: Inquire (Book a Visit or a Phone Call)

The first step is getting your questions answered. We hope that this website serves as a resource to answer your initial queries, and invite you to find out more about our approach to education, what we offer you and your kids, and what our community is like. From there, we’d love to have you come by for a visit and a tour. Nothing will give you a better understanding of our school than experiencing it in person! We can answer your questions, meet some teachers and principles, and tour our building.

Step 2: Application

Once you’ve come for a visit, we invite you to fill out and submit an application. Download, print, and return it to our office and we’ll move on to scheduling an interview.

Step 3: Interview and Student Assessment

Our Admissions Interview will cover our Admissions Policy—in which we ensure incoming families are aware of and align with our school’s underlying philosophy, assessing your child’s educational needs and grade placements, and answering any of your remaining questions.

Step 4: Offer of Admission

Offers of Admission are sent once the Application process has been completed in full. Acceptance is based on a number of factors, including our ability to meet your child’s educational needs, class limits, and alignment with our school society’s underlying philosophy.

Step 5: Acceptance

To formally accept an Offer of Admissions, we require the completion of a few forms that we’ll send to you.

Step 6: Orientation

We’re looking forward to welcoming your family to Bulkley Valley Christian School! New families are invited to attend an orientation evening typically held in October. Here you’ll learn more about how our school functions and how you can become a part of it. New families will be invited by their children’s teacher(s) to be oriented to the classroom before the school year begins. Students will meet teachers and tour the building.

Step 7: Get connected!

One of the best ways to stay connected with the school and all your resources is through the MyBVCS App. It has practical uses for you as a parent, as well as for any of your children who might be using their own devices for scheduling, assignments, news, and collaborating on group projects. Other ways to get and stay connected are by signing up for our email newsletter and finding us on Facebook and Instagram.
