With your support, this ‘Together’ campaign prepares us for the urgently-needed upgrades and expansions that will be identified in our facility plan. Our goal for the 2023 Together Annual Campaign is $75,000.

Please consider making a tax-deductible year-end gift to help us prepare our facility for a new generation of mission impact.

What is the Together Annual Campaign?

It’s also sometimes called the ‘Year-end Drive.’ This is an invitation from BVCS to our parents, grandparents, friends and supporting community to make a financial donation to BVCS for a specific project (find out more about this year’s project here). When you contribute you’ll be given a charitable tax receipt.

Will I receive a tax receipt?

Yes, you’ll receive charitable tax receipt when you donate.

  • When you donate online you’ll receive a tax receipt immediately by email. Your tax receipt will come from Charitable Impact Foundation. If you can’t find your tax receipt, check your spam/junk folder. If you still can’t find it, contact us.
  • When you donate by cheque or cash, Bulkley Valley Christian School will receipt you in the new year.

Can I donate anonymously?

Yes, you can. However, it’s very helpful for our Advancement Office to know who you are. This helps us to know our giving community and to thank you personally. Even if you choose not to be anonymous, we will never share your name or donation amount with staff, board, school community or parents.

What are the proceeds going towards?

BVCS is preparing for the future through the work of the Facility Review Committee. There’s more information in our campaign letter, available here as a PDF.

Who is Charitable Impact Foundation?

When you donate online using our form, the funds go to Charitable Impact Foundation, who then forwards to the funds to BVCS at the next disbursement intervals (normally within two weeks).

Charitable Impact Foundation is a Vancouver-based registered charity and public foundation that operates as a donor-advised fund. BVCS (and many Canadian charities) have a long-standing relationship with Charitable Impact Foundation.

On your bank or credit card statement you’ll see an item for ‘CHIMP’ or ‘Charitable Impact Vancouver BC’. (“CHIMP” is short for Charitable Impact).

Is it safe to donate online?

Yes. Charitable Impact Foundation’s credit card processing is safe and secure.

Are there fees to donate online?

Charitable Impact Foundation does not charge BVCS any fees for online donations. However, banks and credit card companies charge charities, including Charitable Impact Foundation, a fee to process donations. If you use a credit card to donate, the fee is 2.8%. So, for example, an online $1000 donation will arrive at BVCS as $972.

Can I donate by cheque or cash?

Yes! Cheques and cash are great ways to donate. Cheques and cash can be dropped off at the BVCS office during school hours. If you prefer to mail a cheque, please mail it to Bulkley Valley Christian School, PO Box 3635, Smithers, BC V0J 2N0. Cash and cheque donations will be receipted in the new year.

We are not immediately notified of your donation by Charitable Impact. It can take a few days before we see your donation. We’ll be sure to contact you as soon as Charitable Impact notifies us of your gift.
