BVCS has had a summer of changes! We can’t wait to welcome our school community back to a transformed campus, with changes including:
- expanded parking lots and new traffic flow
- raised and fenced sidewalks
- replaced metal cladding on building exterior
- updated improved bathrooms in main lobby
- expanded modular classroom
- combined playground area
- improved court area behind gym (end-to-end basketball, resealed surface)
- new field area (not open yet…but it’s coming along nicely!)
- various building improvements inside and out
- a brand new 2025 school bus (#3)
September 19 · Starting at 4 pm
We can’t do this many changes and not have a party! Join us on Thursday, September 19 from 4 pm until around 8 pm for a Parking Lot Party. This is also going to serve as our Commencement Evening, with related activities. Planned activities include:
- BBQ and ice cream
- bike decorating & face painting
- parking lot hockey with Dan Hamhuis
- a golf hole or two on the field (it’s a Thursday…men’s night)
- outdoor games
- bus decorating (and some ‘mainers’ in the school bus)
- prayer of dedication and thanksgiving
- meet the teacher and tour the facility
More details will be released as we plan and prepare for this event.
Commencement Evening combined with this event
We had originally planned to hold our regular ‘Commencement Evening’ on September 4. Rather than planning two events for two different evenings, we’ll combine commencement evening with this event. You’ll have an opportunity meet teachers and tour the facility, join us in prayer and share an evening with other parents, staff and students.
