We are so grateful to you, our school community, for together contributing to an excellent first ‘online auction’ experience. BVCS is grateful for your donated items, generous bidding and encouraging support.
The first-ever BVCS online auction opened on Tuesday evening, with 84 items, services and experiences up on the auction block. Together 139 separate bidders competed over the following few days, with the auction closing officially on Friday evening a 8 PM. An hour and a half later bidding continued on two items (an iPhone and a gift certificate to Alpine Plant World), finally closing at 9:45 PM.
The auction raised a total of $14,622 in bidding plus a $350 donation. Add those together and we have a total of $14,972. Our goal for this event? $15,000. We were right on target. We are thankful to God.
If you have won an item in the auction, you may pick up during school hours any time next week (please don’t come before 10 AM on Monday…we need a few hours to label items with their winners, print invoices, etc.). Please bring payment (cheque or cash…we cannot accept credit cards, debit cards or eTransfer) when you pick up. If you have questions please contact Tom Grasmeyer at 250-847-4238.
