This year, The Salvation Army in Smithers offers food hampers to families with school-aged children who need more support.
The ‘Feeding the Lambs’ program has been available in Canada since September 2016. Supporting families is part of our commitment to helping children receive a quality education. Public donations and community support keep the program running. We partner with grocery stores to buy items at cost. Staff and volunteers then bag up hampers ready for families that need them.
This year, we are distributing the school hampers at our Smithers location (1065 Main St.).
