This notice affects Bus #2 (Smithers-Witset) only. Riders on Bus #1 can disregard.
Our route driver for Bus #2 (Smithers-Witset) will be away for a few weeks affecting the last week of April and into mid-May. We want to give parents fair warning that a disruption in service seems likely. We’re still working on this and we will update you if anything changes.
At this point, we have the following gaps for BUS #2.
April 24 – May 5 (two weeks):Morning route only. No afternoons routeFILLED! Regular routes during this time. AM driver is Mr. K. Kort, PM driver is Mr. B. Boonstra (updated April 18 2023)
- May 8 – 17 (1½ weeks): No mornings and afternoons
Our current driver (Doug Henderson) has really been filling in on a ‘temporary’ basis, and we’re grateful for the work he has been doing for us on this route until now. He told us about this absence when he first started driving, and we’ve been working on filling it. As most of you are already away, bus drivers are very, very difficult to find.
