The Bulkley Valley Christian School community grieves the loss of George Veenstra, who stepped into the presence of His Saviour on Monday, September 2021. George was at home and with family when he died. We pray for God’s strength and comforting presence to be with Tina, their children and family.
George served BVCS in many ways through the years: board chair, director, parent volunteer, bus driver are a few of the ways he contributed to this school. He brought insight, encouragement and willing hands to the situations, people and events that presented themselves in the life of this school community. From school fundraisers like the Bazaar, theme nights and drama productions to class trips, golf tournaments and extra-curricular activities, George and Tina demonstrated a generosity and hospitality to people. George’s impact ran deep in the lives of many people and he reflected the light of Christ in his service, wisdom and care for people.
