Bulkley Valley Christian School students recently brought home some medals for their excellent work at the Northwest Regional Science Fair.

Danea Schouten’s project, Bedrock n’ Roll, received a Bronze Medal at the Northwest Regional Science Fair as well as the Shad Canada Community Changemaker award, and the Bulkley Valley Research Center Special Effort Award.

Abby Horner, Emma Hols, and Aspen Page received a Silver Medal at the Northwest Regional Science Fair as well as the BC Game Developers Innovation Award for their project entitled  “Wingardium Leviosa.”

Ivy Mott received a Bronze Medal for her project, Barnyard Fertilizer, and the BC Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation award, and the BC Institute of Agrologists Award.

Carson Mott’s project, War on Worms, won a Gold Medal, the BC Nature Award, and the Shad Canada Community Changemaker Prize.  He was also awarded the Best in his Intermediate (9-10) award and was asked to join the Canada Wide Science Fair Team, which will participate in the National Science Fair in Fredericton, New Brunswick, later this spring.
