The newly-inaugurated Smithers Ringette Association has been running programs and events this fall in the community to spread the word about a new and fun sport—Ringette!
Does this sport sound familiar? If it does, it’s because it is the fastest game on ice, and yes, lots of kids and adults play! Terrace and Houston also have associations with amazing teams and now, it’s your turn!
We want you to come and try it out! We have three dates coming up this fall that you can register for. Here are the details:

- October 21st, 2023 (12:30pm-2:30pm)
- November 4th, 2023 (10:15am-12:15pm)
- December 16th, 2023 (12:30pm-2:30pm)
- Location: Smithers NEW arena
- All you need: Warm clothes for the rink, skates and a helmet! Rentals available at the rink in Smithers, and you can also contact smithersringette@gmail.com to inquire about borrowing gear from us.
- All ages welcome, boys and girls, no experience needed!
- No obligation to register for a team
- Program includes a showcase game- Houston VS Terrace, and a chance for everyone to get on the ice and learn about the game and practice some skills!
