This post is intended for parents of elementary students who are in Matilda.
Thank you so much for allowing your child to participate in the musical this year. It has been an absolute joy working with elementary students and we are excited by all of the work they’ve done and are doing.
We thought we’d email this week an update of rehearsal times, as we need your children beyond lunch hours for rehearsal soon.
Rehearsals:
- Monday, March 4 – after school 3-4pm
- Monday, April 8 – after school 3-4pm
- Monday, April 15 – after school 3-4pm
- Friday, April 19 – PD Day, 9:45am-12pm
- Monday, April 22 – after school 3-4pm
- Saturday, April 27 – at the Della Herman, 8:30am-10am
- Monday, April 29 – at the Della Herman, 4-6pm
- Thursday, May 2 – Dress Rehearsal, 6:00-8:30pm
- Friday, May 3 – Performance, 6:30-8:30pm
- Saturday, May 4 – Performance, 6:30-8:30pm
- Thursday, May 9 – Performance, 6:30-8:30pm
- Friday, May 10 – Performance, 6:30-8:30pm
- Saturday, May 11 – Performance, 6:30-8:30pm
During the performances, elementary students should be done by 8:30pm even though the show won’t end until closer to 9:15. Parents can pick up their children after they are done performing if needed; however, elementary students are invited to stay until the end of the show in the green room. Our intention is to have them doing relaxing activities between their numbers so that the littlest ones, especially, don’t get too overstimulated or overtired.
