Bus #2 (Smithers/Witset) has been repaired. This was unexpected, but excellent, news. We will resume regular route service beginning Tuesday, April 30.
We pulled the bus off the road because it had been having control-board issues affecting the instrument panel. This problem was extremely difficult to diagnose and correct. Through the efforts and determination of Doug Henderson, and thanks to some help and advice from SD54, Doug was able to isolate and repair the faulty electronic components.
The bus will continue to be monitored through regular pre-trip inspections by the driver(s).
The BVCS school society will be discussing and voting on the purchase of a new bus at the May 6 AGM.
