The annual BVCS Litter-a-thon is being planned for Thursday, May 6.
BVCS has been working with Dawson Road Maintenance, the Town of Smithers and the Ministry of Transportation to plan for the annual Litter-a-thon. This important event accomplished a number of important goals:
- it demonstrates care for creation and our neighbour by beautifying the Highway 16 corridor between Telkwa and Evelyn
- it raises important student funds for student accounts
Once again, high school students will be encouraged to gather sponsor commitments. BVCS staff will provide instructions and sponsorship sheets to students in the near future.
Student safety is always a priority at BVCS. The annual litter-a-thon will be governed by safety standards as well as Covid-19 protocols. We are working with partner agencies to ensure that all aspects of student safety have been considered and planned.
