The Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia have, with other provinces, declared Monday, September 19 to be a Federal and Provincial day or mourning to mark mark the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. The Premier’s statement is available here.
Along with federal and provincial offices and many businesses, most K – 12 school throughout the province will be closed. Bulkley Valley Christian School has decided to observe this day as well by not holding classes on Monday, September 19. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 20.
We recognize that our cancellation of classes on Monday, September 19, may cause difficulties for some families with respect to child care.
