Covid Vaccination Information (children 5 – 11)
The BC Ministry of Education has asked all school to distribute a bulletin containing information about the benefits, eligibility consent and other aspects of immunizing children aged 5 – 11 against Covid-19.
Christa LaFountain Awarded Certificate of Achievement
BVCS kindergarten teacher Christa LaFountain has been selected to receive a Regional Certificate of Achievement for the 2021 Prime Minister’s Award (PMA) for Teaching Excellence.

Drivers Wanted: Thursday Food Drive
We’re looking for 7 to 10 more drivers (with vehicles) for the Thursday (November 25) food drive.
Walker Vis and Muscular Dystrophy
Amya came to the grade 6 class and gave an excellent presentation about Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and how it affects Walker. We are glad to have the permission of Walkers’ parents to share the presentation with you, our school community.
Senior Boys Volleyball Zones
Our Senior Boys Volleyball team will be competing in the Zones tournament on November 19 & 20 at Ebenezer Canadian Reformed School. Royals games will be live-streamed via Zoom.
Senior Girls Volleyball Zones
Our Senior Girls volleyball team will be competing in the Zones tournament on Saturday, November 20, at Hazelton Secondary School. The zone tournament will be live-streamed.
Food Drive
BVCS High School students are preparing a community-wide food drive for the Salvation Army. On Monday, November 22, students will drop off bags at homes in Smithers neighborhoods. Students will return to those neighborhoods on Thursday, November 25 to pick up bags left on door handles.
